vs-13 Canteens

I offer 3 different styles of canteens. Pictured on the left is the British Crescent. The one in the center is the Hessian Kidney, and the one pictured on the right is the British Kidney. They are available in Tin, Copper or Stainless Steel. The British Kidney shaped canteen and the British Crescent canteen hold 4 cups and the Hessian Kidney shaped canteen holds 5 cups. These canteens are ready for you to attach whatever cording or strap that you want. The Large Kidney type takes a flat 1/2 inch wide strap. The Small Kidney shaped and the Crescent style use a 3/8 inch diameter cording or rope. They can also be ordered without the hangers if you intend to keep your canteen in a bag.

There are two stopper to choose from: Cork or Wood. Be sure to indicate your preference when ordering.

NOTE About Stoppers: Traditionally, canteen stoppers were made from wood. However, they did not always function as one would want. Wood has the tendency to swell and can become extremely difficult to remove if pressed in tight enough to completely stop all leaking when tipped over. Therefore, I offer a cork stopper which is not quite period but does a better job at sealing the opening without becoming too difficult to remove. Please order the stopper that you prefer. Additional Stoppers are also available.
