This style of lamp was typical in the early colonial days. This lamp is approximately 5 1/2 inches square and is 16 inches tall. It uses a 1 1/4-inch diameter candle. The glass is an imported glass that is slightly wavy to simulate old-fashioned glass. Available in bright tin, antiqued tin, or copper.

| lan-2 | Hexagon Lantern |
As Tinplate became more available in the colonies, tinsmiths were able to practice their skills and made many different types of lanterns. Many of the lanterns were their own design. this is such a lantern, my own design. It is hexagon in shape, measuring 6 1/2 inches across and 14 inches high (not including the bail). Another unique feature is that there is no fixed candle holder inside. Instead it comes with two candle dishes: one that accommodates a 3 inch diameter pillar candle and another that accepts a 1 1/4 inch diameter candle. Available in bright tin, antiqued tin, or copper.

| lan-4 | Ogee Lantern |
This lantern is patterned after an original that I saw in an antique shop selling for $375.00. The only difference from the original is that it had beveled glass panels. This lantern is 3 1/2 inches across and is 14 inches high (not including the bail). It accepts a standard 3/4 to 7/8 inch candle. Access is through the back which is a reflective tin that is easily slid up. The glass is imported German glass that I use in all my lanterns as it has a slightly wavy appearance giving the lantern a more historic appearance. Available in bright tin, antiqued tin, or copper.
